Fives Lund

Fives Lund applies its solid background of mechanical machine design and controls to moving large structures.  Fives Lund has a long list of completed projects in the field of civil infrastructure, such as this hydraulic actuation system for a very specialized juvenile salmon passage gate at Wanapum Dam on the Columbia River in Washington State.  This gate was comprised of multiple segments to regulate overflow at ideal conditions for the juvenile fish.  Other projects include actuated passenger and automotive transfer spans for ferry access, man lifts, hoists, rotating dewatering screens, large doors, movable platforms, building transporters and even large scale community artwork.
